Lorraine Kiefer
Lorraine Kiefer is a florist who does unique and very natural arrangements. Triple Oaks also has a very talented and experienced designer - Carly and Jaye, who is very happy to help as a part-time floral designer. Lorraine has gardened all of her life, she is a garden writer, floral designer and professional horticulturist. She does many programs on cooking the natural produce she grows. Lorraine teaches many classes at Triple Oaks Nursery and Herb Garden in Franklinville, NJ, the family business she and husband, Ted, started in the mid 70 ‘s. She also teaches 6 classes a year through Gloucester County College at the nursery including a 7 week "Spring Planting the Herb Garden Naturally" and a "Fall Harvesting the Herb Garden". All of their three sons have been an active part of this enterprise, but it is now son Joe who captains the ship. Lorraine has written a weekly garden column since 1972 that is now in more than 6 papers. She also writes for garden journals and magazines, as well as a frequent contributor to the PHS Green Scene. Her favorites include one about her kitchen garden and one on Christmas Arrangements naturally. Lorraine is founder and past chairman of the South Jersey Unit of the Herb Society of America, and has written a chapter in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden’s book on fragrant plants. She also writes for the Herb Society of America’s Herbalist and wrote a book with Alison Beck that is titled "Best Garden Plants for New Jersey". Lorraine has done several presentations at the Philadelphia Flower Show for more than 20 years on floral design, herbs, fragrant plants and more. She has freelanced on TV as the guest on several shows and had a call in radio show with Ted for several years. She has been a presenter at the National Herb Society of America’s Annual Educational Conference and meeting in Baltimore, Maryland; Fort Worth, Texas; Indiana and last year, Boston. Programs for HAVE units in North Carolina; Williamsburg Virginia; Philadelphia, and Long Island. NY. Lorraine received the The Herb Society of America’s "Helen De Conway Little Medal of Honor" at the Annual Educational Conference . About Triple Oaks Nursery & Herb Garden Florist
We are a family run business in a small town. We have been in business since 1980 and are known for our awesome, natural, very unique arrangements. We have a nursery and often use unusual foliage, branches and seasonal plants and herbs in our arrangements.Most arrangements can be made same day if ordered by 2pm EST. Arrangements with tropical flowers or specialty flowers can be made with one to two days notice.
Please note that we may substitute an item or flower with an equal or greater value if unavailable. We will make sure that the substitution enhances the arrangement or gift/fruit basket in the same manner as the original.
DUE TO THE COVID-19 virus, some flowers are unavailable for an unknown time period. You may always call us for flower availability or to order a floral designer special arrangement.
